NAFTA is the North American Free Trade Agreement. It creates special economic and trade relationships for the United States, Canada and Mexico. The nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) visa allows citizens of Canada and Mexico, as NAFTA professionals to work in the United States. Permanent residents, including Canadian permanent residents, are not able to apply to work as a NAFTA professional.

TN VISA
Hi,
I’m a Canadian Citizen, and was lined up for a contract position with a company based in Tampa, Florida last year. The company wanted to have me on board for a longer period of time with several meetings in Tampa or other places in the U.S, so I applied for a TN Visa under the “Management Consultant” category. My role would be as Director of Recruiting Operations, and I was rejected as the POE officer said that I did not fall under that category.
Also, I had worked for an IT consulting company prior to this company who tried to have me work as an IT consultant in the US and I was rejected. So, I had been rejected twice in total.
How can I get a TN Visa at this point?
Thanks,
